Standard meeting ID card sizes
Most meeting ID cards follow one of three dimensions. The right one depends on whether the card hangs on a lanyard, clips to a pocket, or fits in a wallet.

The default in this tool is ID-1 — the credit-card size — because it slips into nearly every off-the-shelf badge holder and lanyard pouch without trimming. Switch to the 4 × 3 inch conference layout when you need a larger surface for an event logo.
Why this tool prints on A4 paper
A4 (210 × 297 mm) is the international standard paper size. Every country except the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Philippines uses it as the default. If you've ever bought a ream of paper outside North America, it was A4.
Three reasons A4 is the default for printable ID cards:
- Universal printer support. Every desktop and office printer in the world handles A4 natively.
- Clean multi-up math. One A4 sheet fits exactly 8 credit-card-sized IDs (4 across, 2 down) with even gutters. No awkward leftover space.
- Avery and label-sheet compatibility. Pre-cut label sheets sold internationally use A4 dimensions.
If you're in the US, switch your printer to Letter (8.5 × 11 in). The card dimensions stay the same — only the paper is different. The PDF includes trim guides for both.

1. Rotary Club Meeting ID
For Rotary International, Rotaract, and Interact club meetings. Carries the Rotary wheel motif, deep blue and gold palette, and a "Service Above Self" footer.

Print settings that matter
- Set printer scale to 100% (or "Actual size"). "Fit to page" or "Shrink to fit" will throw off the trim guides and make the cards too small.
- Use card stock, not regular paper. 200–300 gsm gives a stiffness similar to a real ID card. Standard 80 gsm office paper is too flimsy for lanyard wear.
- For lanyard pouches, print on glossy or matte photo paper. Glossy resists smudging better in busy event halls.
- Cut with a paper trimmer, not scissors. A small guillotine trimmer keeps the edges square — essential when 50+ cards line up next to each other.
- Print one test page first. Verify the card outlines on the test print measure the size you expect before committing 30 sheets to a real run.
