Credentials manufacturers actually issue

The short list below covers what comes up in nearly every plant account, ranked by frequency. None of this requires custom development. They are templates plus a roster of operators with course code and completion date.

Credential Common in Typical batch size
Annual OSHA refresher (10-hr / 30-hr General Industry)Every plant200 to 1,500 per quarter
Lockout-tagout (LOTO) authorized employeeMaintenance, production80 to 400 per year
Forklift / PIT operator (initial + 3-year recert)Distribution, plants40 to 250 per cycle
Confined space entry, hot work, fall protectionChemicals, oil & gas, utilities25 to 200 per year

AWS D1.1 welder qualification recordFabrication, structural5 to 30 per quarter
5S, kaizen, TPM workshop completionLean manufacturing programs20 to 80 per workshop

A note on scope. This tool issues internal, site-specific training-completion certificates. The OSHA-recognized Outreach Training Program cards, ISO lead auditor accreditations issued by IRCA or Exemplar Global, ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt and AWS welder qualification papers are issued by their respective bodies after their own examinations. Most plants use those external credentials for a small group of leads and use this platform for the broader frontline workforce.

How this fits with your existing EHS and quality stack

Most plants already run an EHS platform, a quality management system and an LMS. We do not replace them. We sit at the issuance end and produce the verifiable training record that audits and customer scorecards actually need.

EHS systems (Intelex, Cority, ProcessMAP, Enablon)

When a training event closes in your EHS platform, a webhook fires the certificate and writes the verification URL back into the EHS record as evidence.

Quality (ETQ Reliance, MasterControl, Veeva)

Internal auditor and ISO competency records flow from the QMS into a verifiable certificate that a third-party registrar can scan during surveillance audits.

LMS (Cornerstone, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday Learning)

Course completion in your LMS triggers the certificate. Operators receive a verifiable badge on top of the LMS transcript line.

MES, SCADA, PLC competency tracking

Operator authorization for specific equipment, recipes or process areas is captured as a credential with expiry, so a shift supervisor can verify before assignment.

Multi-plant rollouts

Global manufacturers running 8 to 40 plants typically start with one site as a pilot, then push the same templates and webhooks to the rest of the network within a quarter. Each plant keeps its own logo and evaluator signatures while corporate EHS sees the rollup. Talk to us about multi-site setup.

How a plant runs a quarterly batch

The first batch usually takes about fifteen minutes. After that the same template ships every quarter without anyone touching the design. The hardest part is pulling a clean roster out of your HRIS or LMS, and we have an import template for the common formats.

  1. 1. Pick or upload a template

Start from an OSHA refresher, LOTO, forklift, ISO internal auditor or Six Sigma template, or upload your plant's existing certificate as a background.

  2. 2. Drop in your operator roster

CSV with employee ID, name, email, shift, course code and completion date. Optional fields cover evaluator name, expiry date, equipment class and ISO clauses.

  3. 3. Approve and issue

Preview the first three certificates to catch typos in operator names. Click Issue. Operators get an email with the verification link and a download.

  4. 4. Track expiries and reissue

The dashboard tracks who has expiring forklift certs in the next 30 days, who missed their LOTO refresher, and who shared their record. Reissue without recreating the data.

Reference and verification

We are an independent platform. We do not represent any of the bodies below, but our templates respect their published standards and our verification pages are designed to satisfy their auditors.

  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration at osha.gov for OSHA standards, the Outreach Training Program and General Industry rules
  • ISO 9001 quality management at iso.org/iso-9001-quality-management.html for the quality management standard referenced by IATF 16949 and ISO 13485
  • American Society for Quality at asq.org for ASQ Certified Six Sigma Yellow, Green and Black Belt body of knowledge
  • National Association of Manufacturers at nam.org for U.S. manufacturing policy, workforce data and industry research

Questions plants ask before they switch

What is a manufacturing certificate generator?

It is a tool that produces verifiable digital certificates for the training a plant runs in-house: OSHA refreshers, lockout-tagout, confined space entry, forklift recertification, ISO 9001 internal auditor cohorts, Six Sigma Yellow Belt classes and site-specific job hazard analysis. You upload a roster, the certificate is generated for each operator, and the verification page shows the recipient, date, course and issuing site.

Does this issue actual OSHA, ISO or ASQ Six Sigma certifications?

No, and it is important to be clear about this. Recognized OSHA outreach trainer cards are issued by OSHA-authorized trainers through the OSHA Outreach Training Program. ISO 9001 lead auditor accreditations are issued by IRCA, Exemplar Global and similar bodies. ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt is issued by the American Society for Quality after a proctored exam. AWS welding qualifications are issued under AWS D1.1 by accredited test facilities. What this platform records is internal training-completion: a named operator finished your site's annual LOTO refresher, your forklift evaluation, your IATF 16949 internal auditor course. This is the document an EHS officer presents during a customer or third-party audit.

Can a plant issue 1,200 certificates after a quarterly safety refresher?

Yes. Most plants we work with run 200 to 1,500 frontline operators per quarterly OSHA refresher and the workflow handles batches that size on a single CSV upload. You drop in employee ID, name, shift, course code and completion date, and certificates are generated and emailed (or pushed to your LMS) in one run.

Does this support PPE, lockout-tagout, confined space and forklift training records?

Yes. The most common credential templates on manufacturing accounts are PPE awareness, lockout-tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, hot work permit, hazcom and GHS, fall protection, forklift / powered industrial truck (PIT) initial and three-year recertification, and AWS D1.1 welding qualification records. Each carries the operator's photo, equipment class, evaluator signature and expiry date.

Can I track ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 internal auditor training cohorts?

Yes. Quality teams use it for internal auditor training under ISO 9001, ISO 14001 environmental, ISO 45001 occupational health and safety, ISO 13485 medical device, ISO 22000 food safety with HACCP modules, and IATF 16949 for automotive suppliers. Each certificate captures the standard, clauses covered, training hours and the assessor. The verification page is what your customers and registrar audit teams actually click.

How do EHS auditors and customer audits verify the certificates?

Every certificate has a unique verification URL and QR code. An EHS auditor, a customer quality engineer doing a supplier audit, or a registrar surveillance auditor scans it from their phone. The verification page shows the issuing plant, the operator, the date, the training course, expiry if relevant, and the evaluator. The record cannot be tampered with, which is the practical difference between a printed PDF binder and a verifiable training record.

Can a global manufacturer report across multiple plants and sites?

Yes. A corporate account can issue under multiple plant identities using sub-accounts, so each site's certificates carry their own logo, evaluator signatures and ISO certificate numbers, while training compliance reporting rolls up to corporate EHS. We have manufacturers running 8 to 40 plants on a single rollup.

Does this integrate with EHS software like Intelex, Cority or ProcessMAP?

Yes through the API and webhook layer. When a training event is closed in Intelex, Cority, ProcessMAP, Enablon or your LMS, it can fire a webhook that issues the certificate, returns the verification URL and writes the URL back into the EHS system as the training record of evidence. Most integrations we have built take a working day from a customer's IT team.

Ready to issue your next refresher batch?

Start free. The first batch is usually a quarterly OSHA refresher or a forklift recertification cycle, and most plants finish it the same day they sign up.
